About Us

MICRO-CREDIT SCHEME

COHA Micro-Finance Scheme is a special financial support programme designed to provide micro credit to rural-urban poor households. The micro-finance programme is specially designed for poor household in the rural urban communities whom we work with. The micro-finance is very broad and entails the following.

  • Rural and informal sector microfinance.
  • Largest global crowdfExtension of Micro-Credits to poor households both individual and group bases.unding community
  • Encourage savings culture among members.
  • Establishment of Community Banks and Micro-Credit Agencies.

COHA'S VISION

COHA’s Vision is to see every Ghanaian living in rural and urban communities to be alleviated from poverty through Entrepreneurship, vocational skills Training and Agriculture Training Programmes. Our mission therefore also is to give literacy programmes to people who have been denied of formal education due to poverty.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMERS

COHA'S SOCIAL programmers focus mainly on the following areas

tsapp broPromotion of quality education among poor rural communities through various
strategies

including the provision of basic school infrastructure and early childhood
development programmers.

Promote Vocational, Entrepreneurial Training for women and target rural

Promote village micro-enterprise entrepreneurship training and micro-finance
towards rural urban poverty alleviation as well as wealth creation.

HIV/AIDS prevention education and support for direct and indirect victim of the
disease / health programme.

Provide for the rehabilitation of street children in collaboration with the department
of social welfare.

To promote sports in both rural and urban communities and in schools by
establishing sports development centre.

Promote African art and culture in school and tourism.

Provide scholarship programmes for brilliant but needy students (through special
test).

Provide training for rural-urban people in Agriculture programme (e.g. Animal
rearing, crops cultivation) (grass cutter, piggery, snail) (cassava, maize, tomatoes,
rice etc.)

The organization registered with Register General Department and the Department of Social Ware fare as a N.G.O. COHA aim is to promote rural-urban poor communities who one reason or the other are struggling to make a living by bringing smiles to their faces.
